My First Try At a Car Seat Cover!

I am THOROUGHLY pleased with how it came out!!  ALOT of work! I Started Tuesday and worked on it every second I could and finished on Friday noonish after breaking 4 needle heads and going through 2 spools of thread. And amazing enough I was able to make ruffles!! I stink at ruffles.
Here is the before and after product. This cover is for a friend she asked if I would make a cover for her out of a blanket made of SILK and that knobby baby fleece stuff. ( I know great technical term right?) ANYWAYS the edging is satin. I repainted the seat belt hole holders and fabric covered the opening at the bottom. I really can't believe it did it to be honest. Looks to good to be mine.

❁First Baby Shoes❁

❁ Well, here it is! My first try at baby shoes! Aren't they ADORABLE??? My next pair are boy shoes. But I have a project in between now and then. It started out pretty easy. The soles are another story.... ❁

❁ The cool thing about this pattern is that it has 3 layers instead of 2 which make the shoes a little stiffer. And it recommends you use flannel as the inner lining between the other 2 layers. They are DEFINITELY new born shoes but I hope to get good enough to make all sizes. ❁

❁ The reason the soles were so difficult was because the instructions weren't that good. This is what's called seamless. There are no seems visible ANYWHERE. All the patterns I have seen online show the seems on the inside of the shoe. But not these. Oh and next time I think I will add light card board to the bottom to make it a little stiffer. They are still kind of flimsy. Not that it matters if it's on a new born. ❁

Oh Here are the two links of tutorials that I know of for making baby shoes.
